Before starting GitProject Consulting in 2018, I spent twelve years inside product engineering teams — from a 4-person startup in Syracuse to a 300-engineer public company. I loved shipping software. I did not love the weeks lost to broken pipelines, ambiguous ownership, and repeated PR arguments that nobody remembered starting.
The pattern kept repeating: smart people, decent tools, still miserable delivery. Somewhere between "hire more engineers" and "buy another SaaS" there was a smaller, cheaper answer nobody wanted to spend a quarter on. So I started a firm to spend the quarter for them.
Today we're a team of nine, based in Liverpool, NY, working with product teams across the United States. We stay small on purpose. When we say your VP is going to work with a senior consultant, we mean it — not a bait-and-switch to a junior in month two.

Our office sits a few minutes off Onondaga Lake in Liverpool, NY — a small town north of Syracuse. Being outside the coastal hiring bubble keeps our rates fair and lets us focus on work that matters. We travel to clients across the United States, but we come home to Central New York.
